Springfield AYSO

Content

Springfield AYSO offers two programs each school year - Fall Season and Spring Season.  Both seasons coincide with the school calendar:
 - Fall Jamboree is the the first Saturday after the first week of school
 - Spring Jamboree is the first Saturday after Spring Break
 - and practices start the week before the Jamboree

After the Jamboree, the Seasonal Schedule is built and distributed.  ALWAYS in Springfield; ALWAYS on Saturday is what you should plan for.  Every Saturday your player will have a game, and generally we try to have all of the games scheduled in the morning.  That leaves the rest of the weekend for family time!

Calculating your player's division is sometimes confusing, but if you keep this in mind: A player's division is determined each school year by their age on September 1st of that year.
For example:  If your player was 5 yrs. old on September 1st, 2017 - he/she will be in the U6 Division ( i.e. Under 6 )

For most players, it looks like this:
- U4 (3 yr. olds)
- U5 (4 yr. olds)
- U6 (5 yr. olds) - Kindergartens
- U7 (6 yr. olds) - 1st Grade
- U9 ( 7 & 8 yr. olds) - 2nd and 3rd Graders - these teams are divided up into Girls Teams and Boys Teams
- U10 ( 9 & 10 yr. olds) - 4th and 5th Graders - these teams are also divided up into Girls Teams and Boys Teams
